TEMPO Interactive, Indramayu:A rob wave struck hundreds of homes in Cangkring village, Indramayu, West Java. Water as high as 50 centimeters flooded the homes. Yet, people chose to stay inside their homes. “The rob wave began yesterday at 05.30,” said Kusandi, a local resident.
Cantigi village officer, Wahidin, said the waves tend to occur at the end of the year. “The rob wave may still hit us for the next five days,” he said. He predicted that the waves will get worse next month when rainfall is high and the waves become stronger.
